Sad news to pass along out of California. Aaran Porter of Bakersfield College passed away this week after being stabbed earlier this month.

According to Karen Hua of KGET, Porter was leaving a concert with his older brother and sister when he got involved in a parking lot fight. He was stabbed multiple times in his arm and leg. Five suspects have been identified and are accused of attempted murder, conspiracy and gang participation. Two of the suspects were arrested by Bakersfield, Calif. police while a third was found and arrested in Pennsylvania. BPD is still searching for two of the suspects.

Porter’s family members say he did not know any of the men and it was a random act.

Porter was 18.
