Like the rest of the college football world, the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and the National Football Foundation (NFF) have a new No. 1 in their poll following Week 6’s results.

Similar to other polls, Georgia is No. 1 in the latest Super 16. The Bulldogs retook the top spot after beating Auburn while Alabama dropped to No. 3 following its close call with Texas A&M.

Georgia and Alabama are joined by Tennessee, Ole Miss and Mississippi State to give the SEC 5 teams in the Super 16. Kentucky is among the other teams that received votes.

The Big Ten, ACC and Pac-12 have 3 teams each, while there are 2 teams from the Big 12.
