The biggest ranking movers this week come from the Big Ten and Big 12.

Oklahoma State will drop with its first loss of the season, falling 41-34 in overtime to Texas.

Penn State may be one of the 25 best teams on the field, but it’s hard to see any 0-2 team getting ranked in the AP Top 25. Getting bounced from the polls as No. 18 for losing to No. 3 is tough, but again, the Nittany Lions are 0-2.

At 1-1, No. 13 Michigan may hang on to its spot in the rankings by a thread despite the loss to Michigan State.

North Carolina looks like a pretender. Mack Brown’s team lost 44-41 to a Virginia team that was 1-4 entering Saturday. The Tar Heels drop to 4-2 and should give up their spot in the Top 25 .

With 2-loss teams getting ranked, look for Texas and Auburn to re-enter the AP Top 25. West Virginia should also get in for its win over No. 16 Kansas State. 2-0 B1G squads Purdue and Northwestern will make some noise in the poll, but they’ll probably be behind the Power 5s who beat ranked teams (Texas, West Virginia) or won big (Auburn).
