College GameDay announces location for special Week 1 broadcast

College GameDay is one of the top pregame shows in the college football world, airing on Saturday mornings during the season.
However, on Thursday, the popular ESPN show announced it would also hold a special Week 1 broadcast for the 2022 campaign.
As you can see below, College GameDay will be live in Pittsburgh on Thursday, Sept. 1, ahead of the Backyard Brawl between West Virginia and Pitt:

The special show will begin at 6 p.m. Eastern time from inside Acrisure Stadium and run through kickoff at 7 p.m. ET. The Week 1 showdown can be seen on ESPN.
The normal Saturday Week 1 pregame show will be broadcast live from Columbus, Ohio, ahead of a huge nonconference showdown between Ohio State and Notre Dame.
