Colorado makes history with halftime lead over Nebraska
For the first time since 2004, Colorado is holding a lead over Nebraska at the half.
The Buffaloes currently lead the Cornhuskers 13-0 in the Week 2 matchup. Colorado came into the game with momentum after a big win over TCU last week, and after a slow first quarter, the Buffaloes got their offense going to claim an early lead.
The quarterback that led Colorado to a halftime lead in 2004 was Joel Klatt, who is calling the game today on FOX Sports.
This is the first time Colorado has led at halftime vs Nebraska since 2004… And the Colorado QB in 2004 was none other than our very own @joelklatt ?? pic.twitter.com/BqhAoLc5hh

Colorado ended up winning that 2004 game 26-20, and the Buffaloes are looking for another win today. Since the turn of the 21st century, Nebraska has won 7 matchups and Colorado has won 6. Colorado has won the last 2 games over Nebraska and will be looking for a third straight. The Buffaloes are on the right track right now.
While Colorado has won the last 2, Nebraska has dominated the series all-time, leading 49-20-2. As Colorado enters the Deion Sanders era, the Buffaloes are hoping to start putting a dent in that record.
