We all know last season was different for many reasons but one that may have gotten overlooked was the fact that bowl season turned out to be a dud for many teams that were planning to play in the postseason.

With things returning to normal this year, bowl season is scheduled to make a comeback in a big way as we have 42 bowl games to enjoy this upcoming college football season.

Included among those is the inaugural Las Vegas Bowl, which was set to debut last year but that didn’t happen. The SEC and Pac-12 are each scheduled to send a team to the desert for the debut of the Las Vegas Bowl this year.

Here are the bowl games currently slated to host SEC teams in 2021 (this list does not include New Year’s Six or College Football Playoff bowls which are picked following the end of the regular season):

  • Birmingham Bowl – vs. American
  • Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl – vs. ACC
  • Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl – vs. Big 12
  • AutoZone Liberty Bowl – vs. Big 12
  • Belk Bowl – vs. ACC (2021, 2023, 2025)
  • Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl – vs. Big Ten
  • Las Vegas Bowl – vs. Pac-12 (2020, 2022, 2024)
  • TaxSlayer Gator Bowl – vs. ACC
  • Outback Bowl – vs. Big Ten
  • Citrus Bowl – vs. Big Ten

Here is a look at the complete bowl season lineup for the upcoming season.
