Here’s something we didn’t think we’d ever be discussing, Vice President Mike Pence is reportedly meeting with the College Football Playoff Management Committee.

No word yet on if Pence supports an expansion of the College Football Playoff.

Regardless, the Vice President is speaking to the College Football Playoff Management Committee on Wednesday, CNN White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins is reporting.

There hasn’t been any other information regarding this call between the Vice President and the Playoff committee from Collins but considering Pence’s role in America’s coronavirus response effort, it’s safe to assume they are discussing timelines for the Playoff and alternative plans in case things need to be moved due to the virus.

SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey is on the College Football Playoff Management Committee, along with the commissioners of the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12 and Pac-12, Notre Dame AD Jack Swarbrick and the commissioners for the Group of 5 conferences.
