Broadcasters: ESPN duo makes the cut in Missouri-South Carolina broadcast
ESPN’s Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge receive acknowledgment in this week’s criticizing the broadcasters for comments made in their coverage of Missouri-South Carolina this past Saturday. Both men made left notable soundbites to replace two-time champions Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson. Let’s start with Nessler:

Nessler referred to Missouri tailback Russell Hansbrough as “Tyler Hansbrough” in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s game. Here’s a picture of Russell Hansbrough:

As you can tell, the resemblance is uncanny. But it didn’t stop there. In a team effort, Blackledge decided to jump in with the most obvious comment of the night. Our own Jon Cooper tweeted Blackledge’s comment Saturday:
“If you’re Missouri, you want to score here, obviously.” -Todd Blackledge

At least he pointed out how obvious the comment was. But seriously, even considering the 20-14 fourth quarter deficit, is there ever actually a time that you DON’T want to score?
