The Dallas Cowboys are having an unfortunate season at quarterback, and the latest example came late in the third quarter against the Washington Football Team.

Backup QB Andy Dalton, who is playing in place of Dak Prescott, who suffered a serious leg injury earlier this season, suffered a blow to the head from former Florida LB Jon Bostic. A cart came on the field for Dalton after he remained on the turf for several minutes after the play. Bostic was flagged and ejected on the play. It was a third down and 10 play from the Dallas 3-yard line and Dalton gained six yards on the play.

A suspension is likely coming for Bostic, most observers agreed, after he lowered his shoulder toward Dalton’s helmet as Dalton prepared to slide.

Rookie QB Ben Dinucci, from James Madison, took over at QB for Dallas.

It was already a difficult game for the Cowboys, who trailed 22-3 in Washington late in the third quarter.
