Dan Mullen shared his picks against the spread for Week 5 on Friday afternoon.

Most notably, the former Florida and Mississippi State head coach made his pick for the top-5 showdown between Georgia and Alabama. He’s taking the Bulldogs -1 on the road in Tuscaloosa.

Mullen picked just one other SEC game this week: he’s taking Arkansas to win outright as 6-point underdogs against Texas A&M.

Elsewhere around college football, Mullen is picking Illinois to cover 19.5 points against Penn State, but he expects the Nittany Lions to win outright. Mullen is also picking a trio of favorites to take care of business and beat the number: UCF, Kansas State and Notre Dame.

Here’s a look at Mullen’s full slate of picks for Saturday:

This is a huge weekend in college football that features multiple games with significant College Football Playoff implications. Georgia vs. Alabama could decide who advances to the SEC Championship Game in December. Notre Dame and Louisville are both in a desperate need of a top-25 win for their respective CFP résumés. For Illinois, a win over Penn State would mean the Illini have a legitimate chance to do significant damage in the Big Ten this fall.
