Dan Mullen was not impressed with Georgia’s narrow win over Auburn. And that caused the former Florida and Mississippi State coach to drop Georgia to No. 4 in his latest top 25, from No. 1 last week.

In reality, Georgia overcame its latest slow start and leaned heavily on a Carson Beck-to-Brock Bowers connection to extend the school-record winning streak to 22 games, even if they only grabbed control when they absolutely had to.

Mullen kept Michigan at No. 2, and Florida State at No. 3.

Across the SEC, Mullen had Georgia (4), Alabama (13), Kentucky (16), Missouri (18), Texas A&M (22) and Ole Miss at No. 24.

Mullen also shuffled the rest of his top 10, and dropped Washington from No. 6 to No. 8, and elevated Oregon from No. 8 to No. 6, and jumped Oklahoma from No. 12 to No. 10.
