Dan Mullen spotlights 2 SEC QBs as top performers of Week 10
Dan Mullen used to be the head coach at Florida and Mississippi State, so he knows what good quarterback play looks like in the SEC.
Now a college football analyst at ESPN, Mullen gave some love to the conference he used to coach in by spotlighting 2 SEC quarterbacks for their terrific play in Week 10 victories. Mullen had Ole Miss’s Jaxson Dart and South Carolina’s LaNorris Sellers among his top 6 quarterback performances of the week gone by.
We’ll start with Dart, who lit up the Arkansas defense to the tune of 515 yards passing and 6 touchdowns in a virtuoso performance that has some in Oxford talking Heisman Trophy. Dart completed 25-of-31 passes on the day and didn’t throw an interception, as the Rebels rolled to a 63-31 victory that kept them in the College Football Playoff discussion going into the Week 11 home showdown with Georgia.
Then there’s Sellers, the freshman phenom who led the Gamecocks to a 44-20 upset of then-No. 10 Texas A&M. Sellers did damage with his arm, throwing for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns without an interception, and he did some serious damage with his legs, too, rushing for 106 yards and 1 TD.
Sellers will next take aim at the Vanderbilt defense, as the Gamecocks head to Nashville on Saturday to face the Commodores.
