Danny Kanell has 3 SEC teams in his updated top 8 rankings
Chaos. That’s the word to describe the 2020 football season so far. Week 3 in the SEC was especially wild.
Tennessee had a halftime lead at Georgia before getting blown out in the second half. Mizzou stunned LSU. Mississippi State only scored 2 points in a loss to Kentucky. Alabama and Ole Miss combined for 111 points. Arkansas potentially got robbed of a road win at Auburn. And Florida lost at Texas A&M.
So, what should we make of the league’s top teams and where they stand among the best teams across the country? Danny Kanell has 3 SEC teams in his top 8, with Georgia at No. 2, Alabama at No. 3 and Florida at No. 6:

Yes, Florida lost at Texas A&M on Saturday, so it is a bit surprising to see the Gators still included in the list. As Kanell points out, though, the Big Ten might have some teams moving up when they return to the field.
Who will make the cut next week? We’ll find out after what’s sure to be another exciting Saturday of college football action!
