Danny Sheridan, a well-known oddsmaker, has revealed a dominating trend among 3 heavyweights in college football this season.

Sheridan wrote on Twitter that Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State will be preseason double digit favorites against everyone on their schedule, barring injuries. The lowest lines for Alabama will be 15 against Texas, and 16 against Texas A&M, Arkansas and LSU. Georgia will be 15.5 against Florida.

Sheridan’s projections are in line with FanDuel’s updated betting lines for several key SEC football games throughout the early part of the season, both nonconference and league games.

Between the Alabama-Texas game, ESPN’s “College GameDay” being at the Notre Dame-Ohio State game, and Georgia playing Oregon in Atlanta, these teams will be front and center throughout the season in huge games around the country. Television executives like ESPN executive vice president of programming Burke Magnus are aware of this development, and have jumped on these teams.

ESPN chose Ohio State against Notre Dame was its first choice of Big Ten games for the upcoming season after Fox selected Ohio State against Michigan with the No. 1 pick in the draft between the two networks.

“Fox has the No. 1 overall pick with the Big 10. That has historically and appropriately every year been Ohio State-Michigan. We knew that Notre Dame-Ohio State was going to come to us at No. 2, and then we weren’t going to let that go,” Magnus said, via the Associated Press. “That’s just an enormous matchup to kick off the season. Labor Day weekend has become such a franchise for us. It’s clear of NFL competition, and there are so many meaningful college football games played.”
