Every year, dozens of college football players with eligibility remaining decide to forego their final season (or two) in order to enter the NFL draft.

Sometimes that decision goes against sound advice, and sometimes it’s terrific. Take D.J. Humphries, the Florida offensive tackle. The NFL draft advisory committee told him he’d be better off returning to Gainesville. He said ‘no, I’m ready,’ and then got selected in the first round.

Some decisions are easy — take Alabama running back Derrick Henry, for example. It isn’t logical for Henry to return to Tuscaloosa for another 300-carry, unpaid season.

Still, there are a handful of SEC players with very difficult decisions. Some of those players would be mesmerizing in the SEC in 2016. For whom are you rooting to return?

WHICH SEC PLAYER CONSIDERING THE DRAFT DO YOU WANT TO SEE AGAIN IN 2016?

Chris Wright (@FilmRoomEditor): Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly

Any running back who can leave early, must leave early. Injuries are real and their NFL careers are short.

I’d love to see Laquon Treadwell and Chad Kelly return, but it makes no sense in Treadwell’s case, and the way QBs are overvalued in the draft, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for Kelly, either.

It’s hard to imagine Kelly playing better next year, with much less talent around him, and if there’s one thing analysts love, it’s to tear down a guy after pumping him up. He’s not Matt Barkley, in terms of being an early first-round draft pick whose stock could plummet, but I don’t see him moving up dramatically next year, either.

Kelly had a great first year with the Rebels, leading them to nine victories, including an upset at Tuscaloosa. Without Laremy Tunsil and Lequon Treadwell next season, it might be risky for Kelly to come back. But with his history of off-the-field incidents, Kelly may need to show he can stay out of trouble for an entire season to impress NFL scouts and improve his draft position.

Tom Brew (@tombrewsports): Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly

I’m really hoping Chad Kelly comes back at Ole Miss. He was one of my favorites to watch this year with that gunslinger mentality of his. He’s had a great season, but it’s really only his first full season at the college level. He could benefit from an extra year in Oxford.

Christopher Smith (@csmithSDS): Florida WR Demarcus Robinson

I’m eager to see the slow transformation of Florida’s offense under coach Jim McElwain. Antonio Callaway is going to be a year better, the Gators are going to insert new pass-catchers and the team is using the tight ends liberally. But during the first six games, when Will Grier is suspended, Florida could really use the veteran receiver Robinson. It seems that he’s strongly considering early entry to the NFL draft, but I think that would be a big mistake. And I’m rooting for more than one decent team in the SEC East next year, so I’d like to see Florida, Georgia and Tennessee all at top gear.

Chad Kelly needs another season at the college level. While he put up gaudy numbers like an SEC-high 311.7 passing yards per game to go with 27 TDs, he also threw 12 interceptions, tied with Vanderbilt’s Johnny McCrary for 2nd-most in the conference. Before his recent hot streak over the last three games, which has seen him show off impressive dual-threat abilities, he had thrown a pick in six straight games with 11 total over that span. He’s the perfect example of a college player that needs another college season: he has all the tools and is on the cusp of being great, but just isn’t polished enough.
