Things are not going as planned in Jackson.

After starting the season with a perfect 3-0 record, the Tigers have dropped two consecutive games including last weekend’s 34-14 loss to Southern which was broadcast nationally by ESPN.

Following the loss, Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders has announced sophomore quarterback Jalon Jones will be replaced by freshman Quincy Casey in the starting lineup.

“(Casey)’s just been building on a good week,” Sanders said. “For the last couple of weeks, we’ve been monitoring that. We had a real meeting with he and the coordinators offensively to try to get a grasp of what we’re trying to do to approach practice like it’s a game, and not approach practice like it’s practice.”

In the team’s latest loss, Sanders and Jackson State were trolled by Southern players.
