Dennis Dodd released a ‘Heisman Hype’ list Tuesday morning following the end of college football’s Week 1 slate.

Bryce Young and his 5-touchdown performance against Utah State were nowhere to be found. A few SEC players did make the cut, however.

Anthony Richardson and Stetson Bennett both wildly outplayed expectations in Week 1. Richardson was a force against the Utes in Florida’s 29-26 upset win Saturday evening. He was especially dangerous with his legs, rushing for 3 touchdowns and over 100 yards.

Bennett was the opposite. He torched Oregon’s defense Saturday in a 49-3 shellacking. He threw for 368 yards and 2 touchdowns, completing all but 6 of his 31 passing attempts.

Cool shoutout to Sheduer Sanders from Dodd, too. He won’t win the Heisman this season for obvious reasons, but the Jackson State standout and son of Coach Prime was nothing short of incredible against Florida A&M Sunday. He threw for 323 yards Sunday, completing 29 of his 33 passes for 5 scores.

Not too shabby.
