Desmond Howard was booed profusely during Saturday morning’s SportsCenter spot by Michigan State and Ohio State fans. That makes sense, because Howard was a star at Michigan, and the Wolverines are the rivals of both the Spartans and Buckeyes. College GameDay is also in Columbus for the big game.

During his SportsCenter spot, Howard explained why the Auburn Tigers are on upset alert Saturday, as he called them “vulnerable.” The Tigers face the Gamecocks in Williams-Brice Stadium.

“I don’t know if you saw the game last week, but man, at home against Mississippi State, Bo Nix and the Auburn Tigers gave up a 25-point lead. Bo Nix is not available (this week). He’s done of the season, and they’re going to play today against a South Carolina team, which a couple of weeks ago, blew out Florida,” Howard said on SportsCenter.

“So, I’d say the vulnerable team just might be Auburn.”

With Bo Nix out, backup — and LSU transfer — TJ Finley steps in. Remember, Finley replaced Nix after he was benched against Georgia State and delivered the Tigers a victory. Now, he’s called on to be the starter with Nix being out.

South Carolina isn’t a good football team, but the Gamecocks are at home against the Tigers. That should help.

Auburn and South Carolina kick off Saturday night at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
