Our CFB Bowl Picks
Andrew Olson
Dylan Raiola, Nebraska QB: Higher than 198.5 pass yards
It’s been a long time since Nebraska has gone bowling. A legacy like Raiola will want to light it up. Lucky for him, the Huskers are facing a Boston College pass defense that was one of the ACC’s worst against Power conference opponents, giving up over 265 yards per game through the air.
Travis Hunter, Colorado WR/DB: Higher than 0.5 rush+receiving TDs
It’s great to have the Heisman Trophy winner playing in a bowl game. I don’t see Hunter getting shut out from scoring in his final college game.
Adam Spencer
Josh Hoover, TCU QB: Higher than 289.5 pass yards
Hoover hasn’t hit 290+ yards through the air in any of his last 3 outings. But the Horned Frogs have nothing to lose as they close out their season against Louisiana-Lafayette. Hoover should air it out as much as possible, which could lead to his seventh 300+ yard performance of the season.
Bryson Daily, Army QB: Higher than 147.5 rush yards
Daily finished sixth in this year’s Heisman Trophy voting, thanks mostly to his impressive numbers as a runner. Against Louisiana Tech in a bowl game, I expect the Black Knights to feature him early and often, leading to 150+ yards on the ground.
Our Week 17 NFL Picks
Andrew Olson
Bo Nix, Denver Broncos: Higher than 229.5 passing yards
Nix has been strong over the last 5 games, averaging more than 253 passing yards per outing, even with that 130-yard outlier performance against the Colts. The Bengals are one of the lower-ranking passing defenses, making this an appealing number.
Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans: Higher than 59.5 receiving yards
Ridley is coming off a 78-yard outing catching passes from Mason Rudolph. Jacksonville’s pass defense has its issues, and Ridley will be extra motivated playing his former team in his old stomping grounds.
Adam Spencer
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams QB: Higher than 237.5 pass yards
The Rams need to win to clinch the NFC West title, so I expect them to come out strong. Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp are both healthy. That means Stafford has all the pieces necessary to have a big day.
Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles RB: Higher than 111.5 rush yards
Barkley is chasing the single-season rushing record. Jalen Hurts will likely be out, leading to Kenny Pickett starting at QB. That all bodes well for Barkley to get plenty of work. I like him to go for 112+ yards on the ground.
