DFS Picks of the Week: Our top Underdog plays for college and NFL, Nov. 16-17
The college football season is hitting the stretch run. There are only 3 weeks left in the regular season. Then it’s time for conference championships, bowl games and the College Football Playoff. Enjoy this CFB run while you still can!
We still have plenty of NFL football left, with the league entering Week 11 of 18 in the regular season.
That means there are thousands of pick’em options available on Underdog Fantasy every weekend. That many options can be overwhelming, so our DFS experts — Andrew Olson and Adam Spencer — have sorted through the CFB and NFL madness to find their 3 favorite CFB and top 2 NFL picks each.
Keep reading below to see who they like this weekend.

Our Week 12 CFB Picks
Andrew Olson
Quinn Ewers, Texas QB: Lower than 0.5 interceptions
Ewers got his groove back last week, carving up Florida for 5 touchdowns without an interception. Arkansas has yet to record a pick against a ranked opponent, even with the home crowd helping the defense. I expect Ewers to be productive in a favorable matchup without giving the ball away.
Carson Beck, Georgia QB: Higher than 257.5 pass yards
Beck is taking a lot of heat this week after throwing for just 186 yards in the loss at Ole Miss. The 2 other times Beck has gone sub-200 this year, he bounced back by throwing for 439 yards against Alabama and 309 against Florida. With UGA’s CFP hopes on the line, I like the veteran starter to remind everyone how he got the keys to a Lamborghini.
Omarion Hampton, North Carolina RB: Higher than 0.5 rush+receiving TDs
Hampton is on a heater, recording 6 rushing touchdowns over his last 2 outings against Virginia and Florida State. Wake Forest has given up 14 rushing scores in 9 games (only UConn didn’t get it in on the ground). I like Hampton to make it 3 games in a row with a rushing score. Or maybe he’ll make it back-to-back games with a receiving score.
Adam Spencer
Quintrevion Wisner, Texas RB: Higher than 18.5 receiving yards
Wisner has been up and down as a runner lately, but his impact as a receiver is only increasing. He had 59 receiving yards last week and 39 in the previous game. I’ll take him to have at least 19 receiving yards this weekend against Arkansas.
Ja’Corey Brooks, Louisville WR: Higher than 84.5 receiving yards
Brooks struggled a bit against Clemson his last time out, recording only 4 catches for 42 yards. But in his 2 games prior to that, he had 120 and 107 receiving yards. Against Stanford on Saturday, he should be able to get to 85+ yards with relative ease.
Kevin Jennings, SMU QB: Higher 235.5 pass yards
Jennings has been on a bit of a heater lately, throwing for 306, 258 and 322 yards in his last 3 games. SMU is still very much in the hunt for the ACC Championship Game, so I like Jennings to put up 236 yards through the air this Saturday afternoon against Boston College.
Week 11 NFL Picks
Andrew Olson
Kareem Hunt, Kansas City Chiefs RB: Higher than 64.5 rush yards
The Broncos did well containing Hunt to 35 rushing yards on 14 carries, under his average of 3.6 yards per attempt. Hunt should put up much better numbers when Kansas City takes on Buffalo. The Bills are allowing 4.9 yards per carry to opposing backs, 30th in the league. I like Hunt to clear 65 in the marquee matchup.
Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans WR: Higher than 54.5 receiving yards
Ridley has clearly benefitted from the departure of DeAndre Hopkins, who was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs. Minnesota ranks in the bottom half of the NFL for opponent passing yards per game. Fifty-five yards feels attainable for Ridley in this matchup.
Adam Spencer
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins QB: Higher than 1.5 pass TDs
The Raiders are terrible. The Dolphins’ offense should be able to do whatever it wants against Las Vegas on Sunday. That should mean plenty of action for WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Look for Tua and the Miami offense to get going in a big way this week.
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions QB: Higher than 220.5 pass yards
Goff has had an interesting 3 weeks. He threw for only 85 yards in a blowout win over Tennessee. He threw for 145 yards in a blowout win over Green Bay. Then, last week, he threw for 240 yards and 5 interceptions against the Texans. Talk about a roller-coaster ride. I like him to get back to his steady performances by throwing for 221+ yards against Jacksonville on Sunday.
