Doug Gottlieb is a potential candidate for a Division 1 head coaching job, per a report.

According to ESPN’s latest coaching carousel update, Gottlieb is a “name to watch” for the head coaching vacancy at Green Bay.

Gottlieb was named amongst several other coaches, including former Cincinnati head coach John Brannen. Gottlieb currently hosts his own show on Fox Sports Radio.

Gottlieb doesn’t have any collegiate coaching experience, but he has interviewed for jobs in the past. He interviewed for the Oklahoma State head coaching vacancy in 2017. Gottlieb played for the Cowboys from 1997-2000.

He did previously serve as an assistant coach for Team USA at the 2009 Maccabiah Games. He also coached for Team USA at the 2017 Maccabiah Games.

Green Bay plays in the Horizon League. It parted ways with coach Will Ryan this year after he went 15-61 in 3 years at the helm.
