Early SEC Championship line released for LSU vs. Georgia
A game a couple weeks in the making, we have now reached Championship Week as Georgia and LSU can now focus on each other and not a rivalry or revenge game that kept their focus last week.
The Vegas betting line has opened with LSU -4, according to Vegas Insider, as it appears to be a lower line than the betting public expected, especially as Georgia’s struggles on offense get highlighted. The Bulldogs are 7-5 against the spread this season, but covered on Saturday at Georgia Tech with a 52-7 victory in a game where the line closed at 28.5.
LSU, meanwhile, is 7-4-1 ATS following a 50-7 victory over Texas A&M in a game that went off with a 17.5-point spread.
Much will likely be made about LSU’s win over Georgia last season in Baton Rouge, 36-16, in a game that sparked Georgia’s turnaround that season. The Bulldogs won out before the SEC Championship Game loss to Alabama.
The teams last met in Atlanta in this title game in 2011, a game won by LSU 42-10.
