Elite 2022 Louisiana ATH Jacoby Mathews names 4 SEC teams in top 7

Jacoby Mathews out of Ponchatoula, Louisiana already has 15 scholarship offers as one of the top athletes in the class of 2022. On Tuesday, he shared that he already has a top 7 schools among those 15.
Mathews named Alabama, Georgia, LSU and Mississippi State as top schools alongside Michigan State, Oklahoma and Texas in a graphic posted on his Twitter account. In the SEC, he also has scholarship offers from Arkansas and Texas A&M.
Listed at 6-1, 210 pounds, Mathews is rated 4-stars, the No. 4 Louisiana product, No. 6 safety and No. 70 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2022 on the 247Sports Composite. While 247Sports rates him as a safety, both ESPN and Rivals recruiting services grade Mathews under the versatile, multi-position “ATH” designation.
