ESPN analyst (and former Buckeye) trolls SEC, Alabama
The SEC has been the bullseye for many media members over the recent weeks. Really, it dates back to the Sugar Bowl, when Ohio State beat Alabama to get to the College Football Playoff Championship Game.
Nick Saban took criticism recently for his comments at SEC Media Days, justified or not.
Tuesday, Auburn coach Gus Malzahn made his way to ESPN’s Car Wash, and he was asked about the effect of the SEC’s brutal regular season schedule and how it impacts a team’s potential playoff run. Malzahn said the SEC is at a disadvantage for the College Football Playoff because the schedule wears teams down.
Former Ohio State running back and current ESPN analyst Robert Smith took the opportunity to troll Alabama and the SEC over Malzahn’s comments.
Oooooh! So Alabama got worn out beating that team that lost to Indiana in the #SEC championship game?

Just for reference: Smith is alluding to Missouri losing to Indiana during the 2014 regular season.
Everyone complains about coaches being very vague and boring with coachspeak, and when they start speaking what’s really on their mind, they get criticized for it.
What gives?
