ESPN experts update SEC bowl projections following Week 8 action

The 2019 season is now approaching Week 9, so the teams that are likely going to be bowl-eligible are starting to separate themselves from those that aren’t.

After Week 8’s action, ESPN experts Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach updated their 2019 bowl projections, and 9 SEC teams were included.

As you can see below, they both have Alabama making it to the College Football Playoff, meeting a familiar foe in the semifinals:

Alabama

  • Bonagura: Peach Bowl (CFP) vs. Clemson
  • Schlabach: Peach Bowl (CFP) vs. Clemson

Auburn

  • Bonagura: Outback Bowl vs. Minnesota
  • Schlabach: Outback Bowl vs. Minnesota

Florida

  • Bonagura: Citrus Bowl vs. Wisconsin
  • Schlabach: Citrus Bowl vs. Wisconsin

Georgia

  • Bonagura: Orange Bowl vs. Virginia
  • Schlabach: Cotton Bowl vs. SMU

Kentucky

  • Bonagura: Music City Bowl vs. Pitt
  • Schlabach: Belk Bowl vs. Duke

LSU

  • Bonagura: Sugar Bowl vs. Baylor
  • Schlabach: Sugar Bowl vs. Baylor

Mississippi State

  • Bonagura: Belk Bowl vs. North Carolina
  • Schlabach: Gator Bowl vs. Nebraska

South Carolina

  • Bongaura: Gator Bowl vs. Indiana
  • Schlabach: Music City Bowl vs. Louisville

Texas A&M

  • Bonagura: Texas Bowl vs. Kansas State
  • Schlabach: Texas Bowl vs. Oklahoma State
