The race for the 2019 Heisman Trophy has just begun but over the weekend, one player that wasn’t previously on the radar stated his case for the award.

LSU earned the biggest win of the weekend as the Tigers traveled to Austin to win the first top 10 win of the season and much of that victory came due to the arm of Joe Burrow. Following LSU’s big win, now the team’s starting quarterback is starting to gain some support in ESPN’s Heisman Watch.

Following the second weekend of the season, ESPN updated its Heisman Watch list and put Burrow third on the list.
