Heading into SEC Media Days, the main question many had for Alabama head coach Nick Saban was the status of junior offensive lineman Cam Robinson. Considering that, it was quite the shock that no media member asked Saban about his star lineman following his offseason arrest during his televised main ballroom Q&A session.

After wrapping up the Saban segment, the SEC Network cut to a commercial break but failed to cut the audio feed from analyst SEC Nation host Dari Nowkhah. Nowkhah could be heard making chicken noises and asked if “You think (Saban) owns the media?” before the feed was cut.

Upon the programs return, Nowkhah owned up to his comments and was backed up by his co-host Paul Finebaum. Finebaum concurred with Nowkhah, saying Saban does indeed own the media.

Considering the media failed to address the Cam Robinson incident, it’s hard to argue with their conclusion.
