College football observers frequently debate the best coaches in the sport. Plenty of debates focus on the GOAT or the top active coach. ESPN’s Bill Connelly recently ranked the 100 best coaches of the past 50 years.

As expected, the SEC is well-represented on the list. In fact, two of the SEC’s most dominant coaches lead things off, taking the top two spots.
