Don’t understand AA Teams that don’t include Kick Returners and Punt Returners, but include punters.
Let me guess, Evan Berry and Cam Sutton would be the 1st teamers
They were overwhelmingly the best at those positions in the SEC, and at different points throughout the season were the best in the country and those positions…
Well they were the best Larry. But don’t let facts get in the way of your trolling.
Christian Kirk is listed as the AP…
AP isn’t really a PR or KR though. It’s easy for a starting WR to get better AP stats than a CB.
Statistically, Cam Sutton and Evan Berry are better at the PR and KR than Kirk, who is an incredible WR in his own right, and is great at returns too. But if you’re going to divide it up and make PR and KR positions for rankings, then I think you have to give it to Berry and Sutton.
Evan Berry was one yard away from breaking the all-time NCAA total kick return yardage record and his average per kickoff was almost 39 yards a kickoff, which was 5 yards longer than 2nd in the NCAA. He was also tied for first in Kickoff return touchdowns. Kirk might have an argument for punt returner, even though Sutton had a longer average per punt, but there is no disputing that Berry was the best kick returner in the nation last year.
