ESPN had testimonies from crew members involved with College GameDay as the pregame show celebrates 30 years on air.
This weekend it’ll be in Harrisonburg, Virginia with James Madison taking on App State. Fans heard from Tommy Marshall who is the Lead Truck Driver and ESPN Fiber Tech/ Video Engineer Martin Thomas.
Marshall keeps coming back because he loves making people happy.
“I give 150% every day of my life, no matter what I do. To have been asked to be a part of this family means everything to me,” said Marshall. “I continue doing it because I have been blessed in my life and I have the opportunity to put a smile on people’s faces.”

Thomas pointed to how unique of a show College GameDay is.
“I think that this show is one of kind. The length of the tenure is important. All of the challenges that they’ve had to overcome during that length of tenure is important,” said Thomas. “All of the sacrifices that these guys make on a weekly basis to have gotten us where we are and all of the sacrifices we make moving forward to continue pushing the culture forward.”
