ESPN has updated its Football Power Index (FPI) ahead of the 2022 season now that many teams are wrapping up spring practices.

As always, there are some interesting things to note with the rankings. The entire rankings can be found here.

In the top 25, 9 SEC teams are included. And, as you can see below, the Texas Longhorns check in at No. 6, which is sure to spark plenty of debate:

Will Texas actually be back in 2022? That’s what the Longhorns have been claiming for years now, but it just hasn’t materialized. We’ll see what happens this fall.
