Ohio State defensive end Chase Young recorded an incredible performance with 5.0 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks and two forced fumbles against Wisconsin on Saturday. Because of that, he is now among the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy.

But on the ESPN Heisman Watch list, LSU quarterback Joe Burrow remains in front of Young with the best chance to win college football’s most coveted individual award. Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts followed Burrow with the second-best odds. Young moved onto the list and passed Alabama signal caller Tua Tagovailoa for third.

Burrow has been incredible this season, posting a 78.8 completion percentage, 10.8 yards per attempt, 30 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He’s on pace to throw for more than 4,200 yards before the postseason.

This past week against Auburn, Burrow went 32 of 42 for 321 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Oklahoma lost Saturday against Kansas State, but Hurts remains the second-most likely winner according to ESPN behind Burrow. Hurts is averaging 13.7 yards per attempt with 21 touchdowns and three interceptions this season. He also has 801 rushing yards with 13 additional scores on the ground.

Young was terrific Saturday, but he’s been incredible all season long. In eight games, he already has 29 total tackles, 13.5 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, and five forced fumbles. He leads the nation in sacks and is second in tackles for loss and forced fumbles.
