The SEC entered Week 6 with five undefeated top-10 teams. With two of those teams facing off in The Swamp, that number was guaranteed to go down. While the major polls aren’t out yet, ESPN’s power rankings offer an insight into how Florida, Auburn and everyone else will be ranked after the Gators upset the Tigers 24-13.

Here’s where the SEC teams check in the latest ESPN Power Rankings:

  • No. 1 Alabama (5-0)
  • No. 3 Georgia (5-0)
  • No. 4 LSU (5-0)
  • No. 8 Florida (6-0)
  • No. 12 Auburn (5-1)

The post-Week 6 rankings come from Mark Schlabach and feature some notable changes from Chris Low’s post-Week 5 rankings. Last week, Low had Auburn at No. 3, Georgia at No. 5 and LSU at No. 7. While beating Tennessee (Georgia) and Utah (LSU) don’t do much for the end-of-the-year resume, Schlabach seems to have been impressed by the Bulldogs and Tigers enough to give the SEC three teams in the top 4. Somewhat interesting, he moved Georgia and LSU up more (two spots) than he did Florida (one spot) from the Week 5 ESPN Power Rankings.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are No. 2 in Schlabach’s rankings, keeping it from being an SEC top 3. The full top 25 ESPN Power Rankings can be found here.
