ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) updates every week of the college football season after the Saturday action.

Following Week 8, 7 SEC teams were in the top 25 of the rankings, led by Georgia and Alabama in the top 2 spots.

Below, you can see the full top 25 rankings. Somehow, Florida, Clemson and Texas are considered top 11 teams despite having 3 losses each:

We’ll see how Week 9 impacts the rankings. For now, though, there are some major questions with how the FPI sees top teams.
