After an exciting opening slate of SEC football, it’s time for Week 2 as the calendar turns to October.

On Wednesday, ESPN’s Bill Connelly unveiled the predictions from his SP+ computer for the seven SEC matchups.

This week, there’s two SEC contests between ranked opponents: No. 7 Auburn at No. 4 Georgia and No. 13 Texas A&M at No. 2 Alabama.

Connelly has Georgia defeating Auburn with a 1.4 percent projected margin and 53 percent win probability.

Connelly is going with Alabama over Texas A&M with a 12.1 percent projected margin and 76 percent win probability.

No. 3 Florida hosts South Carolina. Connelly projects a Florida victory (14.4 margin and 80 percent win probability).

After knocking off defending national champion LSU, Mississippi State rose to No. 16 in the rankings. Connelly predicts another victory for Mississippi State against visiting Arkansas, with a 12.9 percent projected margin and 77 percent win probability.

As for LSU, Connelly expects them to bounce back with a convincing victory against Vanderbilt (22.1 projected margin and 90 percent win probability).

In the other two matchups, Connelly favors No. 21 Tennessee over visiting Missouri (9.5 projected margin and 71 percent win probability) and Kentucky over Ole Miss (1.6 projected margin and 54 percent win probability).
