ESPN's Dan Orlovsky points to must-watch matchup in Alabama vs. Georgia showdown
ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky will be watching one key matchup in Saturday’s big game when Alabama’s offense is on the field vs. Georgia’s defense.
According to Orlovsky one of the key matchups will involve Alabama freshman phenom Ryan Williams. He already looks like one of the most electric playmakers in the country and could develop into a legendary college football player.
“America, get used to hearing the name Ryan Williams if you haven’t yet,” began Orlovsky.
As for the matchup he’s watching, that involves Williams going up against Georgia defensive back Malaki Starks. While Starks also lines up out of the safety position, he has elite cover skills and is known for making some electric interceptions in the secondary.
When Williams and Starks line up opposite each other on Saturday, it will be must-see television for Orlovsky:
“(Williams) should be in high school right now, he is 17 years old. The matchup between him and (Georgia’s) Malaki Starks is going to be as good as we get in the NFL,” said Orlovsky. “Starks is probably a top-10 pick. Williams is a superstar at the wide receiver position. Watching those 2 go at each other in this game is going to be awesome.”

The Starks vs. Williams matchup will be interesting.
I’m more interested in watching how the beat up GA D-line vs. a fully healthy Bama O-line shakes out. This could suddenly be a strength vs. weakness matchup that you don’t usually see between these two teams.
The must watch matchup is the loser’s AP poll position vs Tennessee’s position with it’s 22,17,10,14 ranked classes. How is this even possible?
Tennessee plays Alabama and Georgia soon. It’ll all work out
Meanwhile you’re an idiot
How can you be looking up at a team with 22,17,10,14 ranked recruits? How is that even possible? Your program is suspect and your coach even more so.
You have to admit it girlie he is right. It will all work out. Oh well enjoy your lonely life while your team is still undefeated! Go Dawgs/Roll Tide!
Hey crackhead
In the last 10 years UT has 2 wins against BOTH UGA AND BAMA, that’s it. No NC’s, SEC Championships, no SEC Division Titles, no CFP appearances, no Heisman winners, haven’t set any NFL draft records etc etc etc etc.
In that same time period
UGA and BAMA have 4, or is it 5, NC’s. Multiple SEC Championships and SEC Division Titles. Double digit CFP and NY6 wins. Heisman winners, Heisman runner ups. Multiple #1 NFL draft picks along with breaking multiple NFL Draft records.
UGA has had 1 HC and Bama is on HC #2 after Saban retired. What is UT on, HC #3 or #4?
UGA has set the college bowl scoring record twice while USCar set the SEC scoring record against UT.
Tell us again the point you are trying to make with your little babble “Tennessee’s … with its 22,17,10,14”. You post that 10 times a day.
The only point I can see is that elite players want to play for UGA and Bama while all UT can get is the 2nd tier kids who don’t go to UGA/Bama/OSU/Texas. UGA and Bama have owned college football while UT doesn’t own a pot to p1ss in.
slim chance of any kind of one-on-one matchup btwn the two outside of deep passes in a cover 2 def
Lot’s of interesting match-ups and angles in this game.
Does Mykel Williams play and if so will he be 100%.
Jalon Walker’s pass rush vs Bama O-line and Milroe.
UGA is getting Warren Brinson back, does Jordan Hall play?
UGA O-line, minus Ratledge, and UGA RB’s vs Bama defensive front. How will Etienne do? Branson Robinson and Nate Frazier?
UGA’s receiver corp against Bama; Bama has to focus against 3-4-5 WR’s while UGA has to primarily focus on 1.
Will the UGA TE’s make a major contribution?
Finally – Beck vs Milroe, one of those two will probably finish as the best QB is the SEC, good chance they finish 1 and 2.
This what college football is all about, 7:30pm Saturday 9/25/2024 can’t et here soon enough
