Six SEC teams are currently still in the SEC Championship hunt: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU and Missouri.

Entering Week 10, Auburn and Missouri need a lot of help with two conference losses.

Meanwhile, Alabama, Florida, Georgia and LSU are in the thick of the division races. The Gators and Bulldogs play Saturday for what will likely be the SEC East winner, and LSU travels to Alabama on November 9 for what will likely be the West winner.

ESPN’s Football Power Index lists the chances that the six contenders will win the SEC Championship. The FPI is defined on the website as follows:

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.

Alabama has the highest percentage of the six teams of winning the SEC Championship, but it has just a 32.4 percent chance of winning out. The Tide’s remaining strength of schedule ranks 21st in the nation, per the FPI.

Below are the contenders’ chances at winning the SEC Championship:

  • Alabama Crimson Tide: 53 percent
  • Georgia Bulldogs: 18.3 percent
  • LSU Tigers: 17 percent
  • Florida Gators: 11.3 percent
  • Auburn Tigers: .2 percent
  • Missouri Tigers: .2 percent
