Auburn (5-4) will aim to reach bowl eligibility in Year 1 under Hugh Freeze when they travel to take on SEC West rival Arkansas (3-6) on Saturday.

Auburn is coming off back-to-back wins in SEC play after starting out 0-4 in the conference. The Tigers have taken down Mississippi State and Vanderbilt in the last 2 weeks.

Meanwhile, Arkansas snapped a 6-game losing streak with its first-ever victory at The Swamp against Florida.

ESPN’s FPI is predicting the Razorbacks to defeat Auburn with 54 percent odds. However, ESPN’s Tom Luginbill recently predicted that Auburn should win at least 1 of its last 3 games to gain a bowl bid.

“Might’ve taken some time. It was a work in progress each and every week…Now you have 2 straight weeks in a row…What this does is it gives you consistency. It gives you confidence,” Lunginbill said. “It gives this football team a belief that they are doing the right things…I don’t see any reason why this isn’t a bowl team. I think they’re going to coach themselves into being a bowl team.”

Auburn leads the all-time series 19-12-1 against Arkansas. Arkansas won last season’s meeting 41-27 in Auburn.

Auburn at Arkansas is slated for a 4 p.m. EST kickoff and will be televised on SEC Network.
