ESPN's FPI predicts the outcome of SEC's Saturday 'Rivalry Week' games
The last Saturday of the college football regular season is almost here. Week 14, better known as Rivalry Week, is already underway in the SEC with the Egg Bowl and Battle Line Rivalry games having been played on Thursday and Friday. That leaves 10 SEC teams in action on Saturday. ESPN’s Football Power Index, explained below, provides a win probability for every game:
The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.
Here is the FPI’s predicted win probability in the remaining SEC Week 14 games:
- South Carolina (7.6 percent chance to win) vs. Clemson
- Georgia (97.9 percent) at Georgia Tech
- Kentucky (69.2 percent) vs. Louisville
- Alabama (65.6 percent) at Auburn
- Tennessee (91.1 percent) vs. Vanderbilt
- LSU (83.5 percent) vs. Texas A&M
- Florida (91.1 percent) vs. Florida State
So you’re telling me there’s a chance?

No way that UF only wins by one TD
I more than hate the Gators but I have to agree with you.
Can’t say I’m a huge Auburn fan but I think they have a solid chance vs Bama
Pro tip: It helps to actually watch games during the season. That way you don’t end up posting the dumbest point predictions. I mean seriously, these predictions make you look like a downs kid. Michigan isn’t going to beat Ohio, Alabama isn’t going to beat Auburn (and even if it does, it certainly wont be by 12.)
Seriously boy, get your daddy to teach you about football. Until then, stay in your Fortnite lane.
