ESPN’s FPI has made its prediction for the Kentucky vs. South Carolina matchup on Saturday.

The game should be an interesting one. Kentucky is looking to bounce back from a crushing loss to Alabama last week, but the Gamecocks aren’t going to make things easy. They are looking to close out the season with a pair of wins to reach bowl eligibility.

Last week, South Carolina dominated Vanderbilt. Combine that momentum with a night game at Williams Brice Stadium, and the Gamecocks should be coming into this game with plenty of confidence.

Both teams have been subpar this season, but are looking to pick up a few more wins to make their seasons look a little better. Regardless of the outcome of the game, both teams will get a chance to pick up a signature win next week. Kentucky will face Louisville to close out the season, and South Carolina will take on Clemson.

ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) gives the edge to South Carolina in this one, giving the Gamecocks a 58% chance to beat the Wildcats.

The game between Kentucky and South Carolina kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday.
