It is that time of year again — the No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida Gators are set to face off in what is known as the “World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.”

ESPN’s FPI projects the outcome of early football game on. the schedule a week ahead of the contest, and has the Bulldogs favored here with an 85.2% chance of winning, hardly giving the Gators a second thought of even being in the fight, with just over 15% odds of coming out on the right side of the win column.

In all reality, this is perfectly reasonable. The Bulldogs remain among the only undefeated teams left in the nation and are two two-time reigning national champions with a strong likelihood of running it back a third time. In their most recent outing against the Vanderbilt Commodores on the road, the Dawgs took home a 37-20 win.

The Gators, while largely up and down, have had their moments in 2023 as Billy Napier’s play-calling has improved. One of those moments was their phenomenal overall performance in a toughly fought, 41-39 win away from home over the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Florida and Georgia are set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
