Teams in the SEC are getting set for an incredible finish to this season.

Georgia and Alabama were ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in the initial rankings for the Playoff, and both teams picked up decent wins over the weekend. The Bulldogs knocked off South Carolina while Alabama dispatched of the LSU Tigers.

The third-best team in the SEC, Auburn, also picked up a win and could play a role in determining the final Playoff standings. Georgia and Alabama will each face Auburn before the end of the season, and a loss to the Tigers would make getting to the Playoff more difficult for either team.

Either way, the season should finish with a bang, and ESPN recently updated the Football Power Index rankings following Week 10. Alabama remains the No. 1 team in the nation according to FPI, but Georgia’s ranking is particularly interesting.

The Bulldogs are ranked sixth by FPI and are ranked behind two, two-loss Big 10 teams in Ohio State and Penn State. Here is a look at the full rankings:

  • Alabama – No. 1
  • Georgia – No. 6
