One of the best prospects in America in the 2019 recruiting class is set to make his college choice this week.
Kayvon Thibodeaux, who is a 5-star recruit and ranked No. 1 by ESPN and No. 2 by the 247 Sports Composite, will announce his choice between Alabama, Florida, Florida State and Oregon on ESPN at halftime of the New Mexico Bowl. The game is set to kick off at 2 p.m. Eastern on Saturday between Utah State and North Texas.
Thibodeaux is a 6-foot-4 1/2 and 239-pound defensive end from Thousand Oaks, California. ESPN’s Tom Luginbill calls him a “very disruptive, explosive player off the edge,” and a “premium player at a premium position.”
The 247 Sports Crystal Ball lists Oregon as having a 61 percent chance to land Thibodeaux, with Alabama second at 18 percent. He has offers from 27 schools, including six in the SEC.
