The College Football Playoff Rankings will debut on Tuesday, November 17.

Lots of football will be played in the next 3 weeks, however, as pretenders continue to get weeded out.

Ahead of the SEC’s Week 6, ESPN’s Playoff Predictor gives a surprising top 4 simulation: 1. Alabama, 2. Clemson, 3. Ohio State and 4. BYU. Yes, the Cougars have utterly dominated opponents led by quarterback and Heisman Trophy hopeful Zach Wilson.

The thing that could hold the Cougars back? Their weak schedule. BYU plays just 1 ranked opponent this year — No. 25 Boise State. How will the selection committee rank the Cougars? We’ll find out a lot on November 17.

For now, though, the Playoff Predictor has Alabama beating Ohio State for the national championship even with the loss of star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

Alabama (87 percent) and Georgia (24 percent) have the best chance from the SEC to make the Playoff. Obviously, things could change if Florida upsets the Bulldogs in Jacksonville.

Below is the current Playoff Predictor percentages:

  • Alabama 87 percent
  • Ohio State 75 percent
  • Clemson 75 percent
  • Wisconsin 47 percent
  • Georgia 24 percent
  • Notre Dame 22 percent
  • Oregon 21 percent
  • Southern Cal 16 percent
  • BYU 13 percent
  • Oklahoma State 6 percent
