Ex-SEC assistant landing new job with C-USA program, per report

A former SEC assistant with time spent under Nick Saban and Gus Malzahn is reportedly landing a new opportunity for 2022.
According to Pete Thamel with ESPN, Greg Brown is expected to join Conference-USA program Charlotte in a co-DC role. Brown has stints as a DC or co-DC at Arizona and Colorado and has coached defensive backs at Alabama, Auburn, and Missouri.
Brown’s most recent stint came under Jeff Brohm at Purdue from 2019-20.
Sources: Charlotte is expected to hire Greg Brown as the school’s new co-defensive coordinator. Brown is a veteran coach who has been a coordinator at Colorado and Arizona and also coached at Alabama, Louisville, Purdue and more than a decade in the NFL.

Brown spent 2013 on Nick Saban’s Alabama staff. He coached a DB group that featured Landon Collins, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Vinnie Sunseri, Deion Blue, and Eddie Jackson, among others.
Brown would go on to spend 2016 at Mizzou under Barry Odom and 2017-18 at Auburn under Gus Malzahn.
