Fans, media rip CBS for showing multiple replays of Georgia WR's horrific injury
In the first quarter of Saturday’s Cocktail Party between Georgia and Florida, Georgia freshman WR Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint suffered a gruesome leg injury.
He made a catch and got into the end zone, but as he was being tackled, his foot ended up pointing in the wrong direction and a cart was quickly brought out for him.
CBS is taking some heat for how they handled the injury. Even after announcer Brad Nessler said they probably shouldn’t show the play anymore, the crew showed it a few more times.
Fans and media thought it was a bit unnecessary to show the devastating injury that all but certainly ended Rosemy-Jacksaint’s season so many times:
Why is CBS showing multiple replays of a gruesome injury?

CBS: we shouldn’t show that injury more than once.
Also CBS: Let’s show the gruesome injury more than once to prove it’s a TD!

CBS needs to work on their serious injury outro music to commercial

CBS: we aren’t going to show the replay again due to the nature of the injury
Also CBS: replays it 800 times including the pylon cam view

Thank you to everyone at CBS Sports that made the decision that we’ve seen enough of that injury.

Shame on @CBSSports for showing multiple replays of an obviously bad injury to UGA receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint. @SEC: How many years will you subject your fans to awful broadcast quality, commentators, research, and production? Fire CBS!

An apology could be coming from the network after all this backlash.
