First big upset of NCAA Tournament just happened, led by only 8th triple-double since 1984
Remember the name: Ja Morant.
Diehard college basketball fans certainly know the name, but for others who don’t, he’s going to be a big-time NBA player.
Led by Morant, No. 12 Murray State trashed No. 5 Marquette 83-64. Morant recorded only the eighth triple-double in NCAA Tournament since 1984, scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 16 assists.
Seriously.
Sure, the NCAA Tournament is very young, but this is certainly the first big (blowout) upset.
The sophomore is largely projected to be drafted in the top three picks in the upcoming NBA Draft, behind Duke superstars Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett.
