There’s likely no way The Grove could top its first performance on ESPN’s “College GameDay.”

It may get another shot, though.

AL.com‘s Brandon Marcello is reporting that GameDay executive producer Lee Fitting said Oxford is the frontrunner for college football’s premier pregame show on Nov. 1.

The Ole Miss faithful showed out during its first time on GameDay as Katy Perry brought the house down as the guest picker and the Rebels downed then-No. 3 Alabama 23-17. Fitting called his crew’s first trip to Oxford “the best GameDay experience ever.”

Ole Miss hosts Tennessee this weekend, followed by a trip to LSU on Oct. 25.

Auburn is off this week and then faces South Carolina next week.

“I’d be shocked if we’re not in Oxford on Nov. 1,” Fitting told the SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum. “The Grove: Part 2.”
