Florida State using 'The Program' to address fumbling issues
It looks like Florida State coach Willie Taggart is taking a page out of the Sam Winters playbook.
Winters is the fictional head coach in the 1993 film “The Program,” which features a subplot in which Winters forces his star running back to carry a ball around campus as punishment for fumbling. Apparently, the exact same situation is playing out in Tallahassee.
FSU has had turnover issues through four games. How are they handling it? TE Tre’ McKitty, who had a fumble Saturday, says he must take a football with him everywhere. Even to class.

The Seminoles rank 127th in FBS with 10 fumbles and are tied for second-to-last with six fumbles lost. Those turnovers have played a role in Florida State’s lackluster 2-2 start, so Taggart has apparently turned to Hollywood for inspiration to fix the issue.
