Florida State’s turnover backpack receiving punchlines galore on social media

Sideline props, particular for defensive plays, have become popular in recent years.
There’s Miami’s “turnover chain,” Georgia’s “savage” shoulder pads, Ole Miss’ wide receiver belt, Virginia Tech’s lunch pail, and of course Tennessee’s trash can from last season.
This season’s newest addition? Florida State’s turnover backpack.
Because the Seminoles are off to a rough start this season, the jokes have come early and often on social media. They escaped a scare Saturday night against Samford with a 36-26 victory after they trailed 23-21 at halftime. That came after a season-opening drubbing last week by Virginia Tech, 24-3, at home.
There’s still plenty of time left in the season, but Florida State would have to come a long way to avoid weekly punchlines about this.
The FSU turnover backpack is, amazingly, even dumber than Butch Jones’s trash can. Also, it’s impossible not to look at this picture and laugh. pic.twitter.com/tlsWps7kUR

So Miami has #TurnoverChain
FSU has a #TurnoverBackpack
One school is cool, the other is as lame as it’s ever been, and that’s saying something after the awful rap video they shot in 1988. pic.twitter.com/iuhwpqf9om
